Angama Mara is a remarkable owner-run safari lodge inspired by the Swahili word for ‘suspended in mid-air’. Located high above the floor of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, Angama Mara overlooks Kenya’s Maasai Mara, considered by many as the loveliest game reserve on the continent. What defines Angama Mara from other safari lodges is its location on a site almost without equal. Each tented suite enjoys a 180° view of the Maasai Mara below.

Towards the end of 2014, seasoned hoteliers Steve and Nicky Fitzgerald found their way to our studio workshop and weeks later there was an introduction to their creative team. The instant connection and understanding for the need of unique pieces led to the conceptualisation and crafting of bespoke furniture for their exculsive tented camps and guest areas.

Since then we've been catering to any joinery and furniture needs Angama Mara throws our way. In 2021, we were honoured to make a contribution to their new map room in the form of reclining map boxes and map dowels for all their meticulously detailed maps.
